I have been a professional photographer for 30 years, and have had the great experience of working as a newspaper photographer for 27 of those years, having the opportunity of photographing everyone from the folks next door to sportsmen, to stage and screen actors and from celebrities to royalty.

I have also had the honour of being named the North East Photographer of the Year three times, and twice highly commended.

Now focusing on my two great loves, portraiture and wedding photography, I believe in recording people in their most natural situations - in their favourite places and with their favourite people. In particular, when I photograph a couple's wedding day my approach is to record the day rather than dictate it.
